For my tag I made on the tagboard, I decided to.. well, suggest (and no other intention, serious!) some Taiwanese games using dice. (Qifan, *wink wink*)

Well, I'm not sure if most of you know the dice that people normally play in Karaoke lounges, or more prominently, Taiwan game shows. I'm also not very sure if you guys watch this show on TV, this Taiwanese game show called, Xiao Qi Da Cai Shen, direct (and quite true, 'true' being what the show is about) translation = Petty God of Money.

Sweet.

So, erm, one of the dice games goes like..

You put 5 dices into this container-like-thingo and shake it. And there you get your hand..okay, if this doesn't bring back any memory and/or you completely don't comprehend what the heck am I talking about..

Here's an example:

XXX dice goes: 1,2,4,4,5
YYY dice goes: 1,1,3,5,6

All sorts of combinations made from both sets:

1-3 ones.
1-4 twos.
1-4 threes.
1-5 fours.
1-5 fives.
1-4 sixes.

So, the rules, since some of you might be plucking your hair trying to figure out why is it that way. But I hope that none of you are really plucking out your hair till your rubbish bin gets full (which I doubt it will really get full unless you have a bush growing on your head), because I heard that ever since Beijing 101 got Edmund Chen as their spokesperson, their prices went up. Sadly, not 100% of their customers hair can be, let's say, revived?

So, basically right.. Number 1 can replace any No from 2-6, unless 1 has been called,

eg, XXX calls out 3 ones, then YYY cant use his 1s to substitute any dice number, because the number has already been called out.

So, explaining the MOST complicated thing there is to know about this game, I guess you people can already deduce from...

XXX dice goes: 1,2,4,4,5
YYY dice goes: 1,1,3,5,6

All sorts of combinations made from both sets:

1-3 ones.
1-4 twos.
1-4 threes.
1-5 fours.
1-5 fives.
1-4 sixes.

(PSSST. You do know that every player must have one container, 5 dices each, rights?)

The second game is a little simpler, only need 1 container, and multiple dices (if a large crowd, preferably around like, 8 dices or so, considering the max is 48 points and there's going to be a turnout of 20+? Note to NicTan: If we are going to play this, you might consider the number of dices, yeahs?)

After you shake shake shake, you will start with the number of dices which is in the container,

eg. If there's like, 8 dices, the first number I start with would be, 8.

You can call up to a max. of 3 numbers.

eg. If I start from 8, I can choose to call out, 8 OR 8,9 OR 8,9,10.

And you are supposed to choose in which direction the game play goes, i.e clockwise OR anti-clockwise.

Each player, EXCEPT the Banker (otherwise in Chinese known as the Zhuang), gets a PASS OR a REVERSE chance. Which means, each player, except the Zhuang, can use their PASS OR REVERSE one time only. You cannot use Pass AND Reverse, it's a Pass OR Reverse.

Ya, so anyway, when you reach the number, you lose. And of course, no game is without Forfeits, I seriously don't recommend those forfeits that you used when you were 11 yo, but instead wacking someone's butt.. wacking someone's hand...wacking someone's sole.

Extremely violent right? Never knew I had it in me.

Yeah yeah.

Hellos everyone!

I changed the blogskin, which Xueer kindly gave the codes and stuff to me, yeah? So you should really go leave a tag on her tagboard saying thanks or something, alright?

The bad thing about this is, if you want your paragraphs to be long and all, you must write very very very long sentences without actually leaving paragraphs and all, you know? Such restraint. So even when you think that your post is actually very very long, but in the text area, it's really quite small, yeah? So that's the bad part about it.

So I kept the song, because it's real nice. However, you must wait for the buffering to finish first, then listen to it. Which may take some time actually. Oh, and yes, remember to click the "PLAY" button, 'cos it won't start on its own. The chorus is really nice. Cascada IS a nice singer anyways.

Hi people!

The user and pw is really confusing, took many tries to come in. Ha! Forgot.

Well anyway, as promised, I'm here to give you details of the seating plan for the big night for Yanliang on Sat! Right. My scanner wasn't working so I took a few pictures of, um, the seating arrangements, yeah?

Right, it may not be that clear so I shall write the details down here.

OK, ProEd classes (which is, duh, us) take the RIGHT wing if we are FACING the stage. (which means we see the stage in front of us, not behind our butts)

Our rows will be from K1 - S16. Understood? For the slow-witted, it means we have 9 rows of seats on the right wing.

So I advise yall to like, choose the spot you wanna seat, or on that day it will be very messy as some classes will have to split and all. As you can see, the Q, R and S rows have some spacing in between them, and as such, I suggest we avoid those rows. So, maybe we would prolly (slang for probably) take the K, L, M, N and maybe O.

Just tag to discuss the rows we should decide on yeah? Fast! You do know that the concert is just THIS SATURDAY right?

And please DON'T go to Victoria Concert Hall. It's not held there.

Just to sum up this already short post, here are the details for everything.

Venue: HCI (College) Auditorium, Cheng Yi Lou. (Should be very near to the street soccer court)

Hello people,

Update on chalet:

ok. Chalet is confirmed... Well, its on the 1st,2nd and 3rd november at downtown east costa sands. yea. The exact rooms, i will only get them 2 days before official check-in, so yea, we have to WAIT! but nvm, i will b giving out a handout on monday to some pple, comprising of: those who are confirmed going to the chalet, and some pple(8) who i meet) Yea, so those who wanna come, the total cost is $35, including only accomadations and the BBQ. the $35 is including the $10 that some of you have paid me. So if u wanna come, just tell me by monday, so i can make changes. BTW, i have booked, erm, 2 deluxe rooms for 3 days 2 nights. so yes, hope we will have fun.

OK, for bbq, teachers will be invited,so i need some pple to help me wif cards to thank the teachers, yea, so VOLUNTEER! AEP guys, i know u are not coming, but pls do help!

1stly i would like to thank Ryan for helping me to find this blogskin for the class. Its quite simple, yeah, but when we have the right pics, i will get someone to help us create a 1G blogskin. Okay,so good. Well, spent 1hr plus doing this, including searching for the blogskin, so... wasted much of my time, but for a good cause. Okay, anywae, the class chalet is from 1st to 3rd november, and i realised that escape theme park will not be open during that period, so... sadly, we cant go.... but mark said that his club is near there, so mayb we can go there.... i will inform you all abt this blog's user and password in class, most likely, so u guys, erm, can blog too...but NO SPAMMING (im not specifying abt anyone here, but... nvm)...

Level day is a day for secondary 1 pupils to bond with each other, this time as a class. You will go through 3 Games, and attractive prizes can be won, but then again, these 3 games will be fun, but will require you to bond together and solve problems together. yea, and i cant disclose the games but i can tell you that the 1st prize is a Nike soccer ball, so, do work hard... yea...

I know that there are much disputes among 1G pple, but, i really reallly hope that we can patch up bad ties. Both parties must cooperate, so yea. if you wanna have a fun and enjoyable time wif each other, then you guys have to work hard towards that goal. Im not being bias here, and i mentioned 2 parties. So i hope that our class can be fun and have NO disputes.

It also affects me that some pple(im not naming them) are, er, classifying the class into different "Groups". yeah, im not wanting to embarrass the people, but what i really hope, is for our class to be united as one, not as 4 different clans, namely, "Anti-darius clan", "Soccer Clan", "Darius clan(note theres only one person. Its really quite lonely", and the others. I hope that everybody is willing to work hard to be united as a class.
